Buster Lewin to stand in local authority election
Publication Date: Thu, 27 Mar 2008
Former Clerk of Braddan Commissioners, Charles 'Buster' Lewin is standing as a candidate in next month's local authority elections.
A spokersperson for the authority confirmed the news earlier today.
Mr Lewin was dismissed for alleged serious misconduct last March.
Investigations into the affairs of Braddan Commissioners are continuing and Mr Lewin will give evidence to a Tynwald Select Committee in a few weeks time.
The authority's financial position was made public at the beginning of the year when it was revealed a quarter of a million pound deficit was found in its accounts.
